Overseas candidates

We provide some allowances for people who are moving to Ireland to work for the HSE.

International recruitment relocation package

The international recruitment relocation package helps with the initial costs of moving to Ireland from another country, such as flights and accommodation.

Who can apply

All candidates outside of Ireland can apply for the international recruitment relocation package.

This is available for either a permanent or a temporary role, for a minimum of 2 years.

To apply for the package, contact the HR department of the service you have been hired to work for.

What allowances are included

The relocation package provides an allowance for flight and accommodation costs.

You can get up to:

  • €4,160 if you are based in the EU or UK
  • €4,710 if you are based outside the EU

Allowances are paid for up to 3 months.

Accommodation and flight receipts must be provided in line with Revenue guidelines. Costs will not be covered without receipts.
