Summary
To ask the Minister for Health the steps her Department is taking to address the gaps in neurological services identified in the recent report by an organisation (the Neurological Alliance of Ireland 1. Only half of the 10 neurology centres across the country reported dedicated access to physiotherapy. 2. Only 4 of 10 centres had dedicated access to speech and language therapy. 3. Less than a third of centres had dedicated access to neuropsychology. 4. Only one centre had a dedicated dietician. 4. Four of the ten centres had no access to inpatient neurorehabilitation. 5. National Waiting lists for neurology now stand at over 24,000, double what they were a decade ago.); and if she will make a statement on the matter.
