To ask the Minister for Health if her Department has considered developing a standard operating procedure or patient information document to support outpatients in understanding their care pathway, including next steps following hospital discharge, the purpose of tests undertaken, and other key information, particularly given that many patients leaving hospital are post treatment and may be affected by anaesthesia or medication, and therefore unable to fully absorb verbal instructions; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
