To ask the Minister for Health the reason University Hospital Galway did not put alternative arrangements in place to ensure that it adhered to the terms of the public only consultant contract in its laboratories ahead of January 2026; if any preparatory work was carried out, given that management is expecting public only consultants to breach their contracts until the end of September; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
