Summary
To ask the Minister for Health if children being reviewed by the External Expert Panel Review will also have their full clinical pathways reviewed; if there is one single body responsible for reviewing the full clinical pathway of these patients; the way in which different processes will interact ( It would appear that the EEP is focused on the initial clinical decision to conduct paediatric hip surgeries in Children’s Health Ireland and the National Orthopaedic Hospital Cappagh. While other processes are underway to examine issues around governance. This raises a question as to whether the full clinical pathway, including how outcomes developed over time, is being considered in a joined-up way.); and if she will make a statement on the matter.
