To ask the Minister for Health the body which appointed the members of the external expert panel (Was it the HSE, the Department of Health, CHI or another body that appointed members of the external expert panel which was established following the publication of the Independent Audit on Hip Surgery Thresholds for Children with Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip?); the measures taken to ensure that the panel is fully independent of the hospitals under review;; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
