Summary
To ask the Minister for Health to provide an update on the elective surgical hospital for Cork (is there any progress on the much talked about elective surgical hospital for Cork. Can she give details on the proposed location and a timeline for its delivery and a date for it to be up and running. Why are elective procedures for people, who are suffering with pain among other things in Cork, cancelled due to the lack of beds in Cork University Hospital. Why is a patient admitted to the day ward, prepped for their operation (Bloods taken, cannula inserted and gown on) only to be told that their operation is cancelled due to their bed being required for a patient who is in A&E “).
