To ask the Minister for Health if she has reviewed the joint statement from clinical and professional groups regarding the proposed changes to the reclassification for high-protein oral nutritional supplements (ONS) from list A to list B (https://irspen.ie/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Joint_Position_Paper_MMP_HPONS160625-1.pdf https://irspen.ie/mmp-plan-to-move-all-hp-ons-to-list-b-irspen-indi-strongly-oppose/); if she is aware that approximately 15,000 patients per month rely on these products, including many older adults at risk of malnutrition or frailty in nursing homes and community settings; if high-protein ONS will remain fully reimbursable and available for clinically indicated older patients; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
