Summary
To ask the Minister for Health whether she will direct the HSE to disaggregate its existing quarterly administrative leave reporting to identify all cases arising from a criminal investigation; and the timeframe for same.
To ask the Minister for Health the date by which a complete national figure for healthcare staff subject to criminal investigation since 2015 will be available. [PQ 50676-26]
To ask the Minister for Health the date on which the HSE first began considering a centralised mechanism to record healthcare professionals subject to criminal investigation; whether a decision has now been made; and if not, the date by which a decision will be made. [PQ 50674-26]
To ask the Minister for Health given that HR Memo 015/2026 confirms administrative leave cases are monitored quarterly by the Chief People Officer and reported quarterly to the Chief Executive Officer, the reason a separate centralised reporting mechanism is required to record healthcare staff subject to criminal investigation rather than disaggregating the existing quarterly reporting. [PQ 50680-26]
To ask the Minister for Health further to HR Memo 015/2026, whether the Absence Code A0702 dataset used to record HSE employees on administrative leave records the reason for that leave, including whether the leave arises from a criminal investigation. [PQ 50678-26]
To ask the Minister for Health whether any single national system enables the HSE to identify, across all HSE-funded sites, whether a healthcare worker is directly employed, agency or locum and the workers currently on administrative leave or removed from placement, or subject to a criminal investigation or an unresolved patient-safety concern. [PQ 50677-26]
To ask the Minister for Health the number of HSE employees currently recorded on administrative leave under Absence Code A0702; and the number of these cases that arise from an ongoing criminal investigation. [PQ 50679-26]
