To ask the Minister for Health the reason Alzheimer’s disease is not considered a disability by the HSE for the purposes of accessing home help services for people under 66 years of age; whether consideration is being given to including Alzheimer’s disease as a recognised disability for these services; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
