To ask the Minister for Health the reason the HSE no longer provides funding for Novofine autocover needles; whether an alternative product will be considered for funding (Novofine Autocover Needles were previously covered under the DPS and GMS. The product was withdrawn by the manufacturer last year as a "commercial decision". There is no other such product reimbursed by the State. An alternative product called BD Autoshield has been recommended as a replacement.); and if she will make a statement on the matter.
