To ask the Minister for Health if patients who are seated in chairs in emergency departments for extended periods such as for more than six-hours are included in the official trolley numbers published by the Health Service Executive; if not , if she will consider introducing a more comprehensive reporting system that records all patients awaiting an inpatient bed including those who are seated or accommodated in inappropriate spaces; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
