To ask the Minister for Health the timeline for a decision by the HSE drugs group regarding the reimbursement of risdiplam for adults living with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) (We understand that the formal process seeking reimbursement for this treatment has been progressing through the HSE review pathway. The Rare Diseases Technology Review Committee met on 12 May to consider patient and clinician engagement input in relation to the reimbursement of Risdiplam for adults aged 18 years and older living with SMA Type 2 or Type 3, or with one to four SMN2 copies, who have not previously received a disease-modifying therapy. As the Committee will now make its recommendation to the HSE Drugs Group,); when an outcome from the HSE drugs group is expected; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
