The HSE response to the findings of the National Maternity Experience Survey 2025 outlines the work underway to address the areas highlighted by women in the National Maternity Experience Survey 2025.

3,354 women took part in the survey in 2025, sharing feedback on their experiences of maternity care across Ireland. The findings showed the majority of women (83%) said they had either a good or very good overall experience during pregnancy, labour and after birth. This detailed HSE response report ‘Listening, Responding and Improving’ outlines the quality improvement work already underway to address the areas highlighted by women in the survey.
