Summary

Clinical governance is a framework that shows how healthcare teams are accountable for the quality, safety and satisfaction of patients in the care they deliver. Central to clinical governance is a commitment to agreed service levels and the quality of care to be provided.

The Office of the Chief Clinical Officer is currently reviewing the HSE’s 2012 Clinical Governance Framework.
