Summary
The "Report on the joint national pilot of the HSE and the Prader Willi Syndrome Association of Ireland" sets out evidence-based recommendations for the development of high quality, safe and effective health and social care services that meet the needs of those with PWS and their families. High levels of carer burden are associated with PWS, and particular attention was paid to developing models of social care provision that, not only meet the unique and complex needs of individuals with the syndrome, but also those of their parents and siblings.
