HSE Health App
The HSE Health App is a secure way for patients to manage their personal health information and find trusted information on health, wellbeing and services on their phone. We are developing the Health App to be the digital front door to the health service.
Launched in February 2025, the app currently allows users to:
- view any scheduled maternity appointments
- carry a list of medications they have added themselves and see medicines received through the Drugs Payment or Medical Card Schemes
- store digital versions of health scheme cards such as the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), medical card, Long-Term Illness (LTI) card, Drugs Payment Scheme (DPS) card and GP Visit card
- access flu and COVID-19 vaccination records
- find information about HSE services such as Emergency Departments and Injury Units
- get support and information on over 600 conditions, treatments and medicines
The app is built on the principles of usability, accessibility and public trust. It’s designed to help the public engage more easily with HSE services and access important health details.
Health App Roadmap
We continue to develop new features for the app. This work is guided by data and in-depth research with patients and clinicians to ensure it meets technical standards and supports real user needs in everyday care.
