Chief Financial Officer
The Chief Financial Officer, Stephen Mulvany, has accountability for financial management over the entire Health Service, the CFO ensures a strong, integrated financial performance system is in place.
Acutes Finance
The Acutes Finance team responsible for ensuring a strong, integrated financial performance system is in place for the National Acutes Division.
Community Finance
The Community Finance team provides financial business partnering support to Community Operations.
Costing and Pricing
The Costing and Pricing team provides leadership for and management of Activity Based Funding (ABF), setting the national Diagnosis Related Group (DRG) prices on which the ABF system is based and being a strategic driver for change.
Finance Specialists
Finance Specialists provides focused financial leadership across the HSE in relation to governance and the effectiveness of the system of internal financial and other controls.
Finance Reform
The HSE Financial Reform team is responsible for delivering the finance reform programme. The team is working on a new system for the entire health sector called the Integrated Financial Management and Procurement System (IFMS).
The system will introduce more standardised financial systems, reporting guidelines and will improve transparency and compliance.
Finance Shared Services
The Finance Shared Services team is responsible for the delivery of transactional processes for the HSE, including payment of HSE staff and suppliers.
National Procurement
The procurement team provides a range of specialist services and advice in delivering a fully integrated sourcing, logistics and compliance improvement service for the HSE.
Reporting
The Financial Reporting team responsible for leading, from a business process and change perspective, the implementation of the Reporting Strategy set out within the Financial Management Framework, in collaboration with the technical and systems work being led by the IFMS programme director.
