Visitor restrictions continue at Tipperary University Hospital due to Norovirus outbreak

Following a review meeting this morning, Tipperary University Hospital in Clonmel is continuing to implement visitor restrictions until further notice, to reduce the spread of Norovirus.

Visiting will only be permitted in exceptional circumstances by arrangement with the Clinical Nurse Manager/Nurse in Charge.

Exceptions will be made by the Clinical Nurse Manger on the ward for end of life patients and critically ill patients.

Hospital management and staff Tipperary University Hospital apologise for any inconvenience caused to patients and visitors this Easter.

These measures are vital to avoid spreading Norovirus amongst patients, visitors and staff
