The Technology and Transformation (TT) Healthcare Network is officially one year old. As we celebrate this exciting milestone, we are delighted to reflect on the progress, achievements, and collective energy that have shaped our first 12 months.
For those who are unfamiliar with the TT Healthcare Network, this group supports 48 TT staff members who have a background and experience in the direct delivery of healthcare. Our purpose is to strengthen communication and networking between members, promote joined-up working, and provide a formal structure through which members can engage as a group.
This article outlines our progress on the 2025 goals and highlights key achievements since our formal establishment in February 2025.
Paving a way forward: Highlights from 2025
One of our major achievements was our inaugural in-person network meeting, held in the Richmond Education and Event Centre in February 2025. This hugely successful event helped build relationships, strengthen the network’s identity, and set the tone for an energetic year ahead.
Close collaboration also developed between the network and the HSE TT Training Department throughout 2025. Key groundwork has been laid to support the creation of a future “Buddy system,” designed to assist in the onboarding of new TT staff with a clinical background. Survey results of members reinforced the need for this initiative within TT, and we will continue to engage closely with the Training Department to progress this in 2026.
Over the past year, we have held seven virtual meetings. Two working groups emerged during this time:
- Buddy System working group – focusing on structured peer support.
- Clinical Opportunities working group – exploring ways to utilize our relevant clinical expertise across TT.
Meetings also focused on member training sessions, such as a Pluralsight-focused session which addressed key learning needs, subgroup updates, and a recurring open question forum to facilitate members in troubleshooting cross-disciplinary challenges. Finally, an end-of-year survey captured valuable feedback to guide our next steps.
Progress on our 2025 goals
We are pleased to report significant progress on our agreed 2025 objectives. We have published our terms of reference, established two active sub-groups, and formed a steering committee to guide network activities. We have developed dedicated member resources, an MS Teams channel, and a SharePoint site to support collaboration on TT Healthcare Network activity. The introduction of a live notice board has been hugely beneficial for members to seek advice from their colleagues. We continue to explore training and career development opportunities for members. These structures have strengthened collaboration and created a more connected professional healthcare network within TT.
Members’ feedback
The 2025 end-of-year membership survey has provided encouraging feedback. The survey, which recorded a 44% response rate (n=21), highlighted the following:
- All respondents (100%) would recommend this network to a new colleague entering TT with experience in delivering healthcare.
- Over 80% of members agree that the themes and agenda items discussed throughout 2025 have been relevant to their role within TT.
- 52% of members have directly connected with colleagues they have met through this network to support daily activities working within TT.
These results clearly demonstrate the value of this group going forward as a means of supporting relevant staff within TT.
Thank you from outgoing co-chairs
We would like to sincerely thank our committee and members for their enthusiasm, commitment, and engagement within the group in 2025. Serving as co-chairs has allowed us to get to know so many of our colleagues, and it has been really rewarding to work with such a committed and dynamic group.
Looking forward to 2026, new roles and new members
The TT Healthcare Network warmly welcomes new membership for 2026. We are also inviting nominations for our 2026 committee and co-chair roles.
