Tipperary University Hospital marks World Physiotherapy Day 2026

HSE physiotherapy staff in Tipperary University Hospital celebrated World Physiotherapy Day 2026 this week.

On September 8, physiotherapy staff took part in interactive exercises offering the public and staff the opportunity to learn about the role of physical activity in preventing and managing cardiovascular disease and stroke.

The event was also an opportunity to highlight the important role physiotherapists play in helping people stay active from illness, injury and maintain their independence.

World Physiotherapy Day takes place annually on 8 September and celebrates the contribution of physiotherapists in improving health and wellbeing across communities.
