Temporary closure of Civil Registration Service office, Ely Hospital, Wexford

The HSE advises that it has been necessary to temporarily close its Civil Registration Service offices at Ely Hospital, Ferrybank, Wexford.

It follows water related damage incurred in the ground floor of the building.

Wexford General Hospital day procedures and outpatient appointments taking place in Ely Hospital are not affected and continue as normal.

The HSE apologies for inconvenience caused, as alternative arrangements are in place over the next few weeks as regards the registration of all births, deaths and marriages in Co. Wexford

Whilst works proceed towards reinstating ground floor use of the premises at Ely, please note that the Civil Registration Service is available in the meantime at the following offices (please contact directly to ascertain operational hours).

Marriage Ceremonies confirmed for Wexford will continue to be carried out and the HSE will be in contact with those involved.

People can book a birth or death registration appointment online for a date and time that they choose at Civil Registration service offices, please see:

The public can purchase a certificate by phone and appointments made online can also be rescheduled/cancelled by users.
