As part of the latest HSE Health App 5.2 update, available now, new features that benefit patients and service users have been added, including outpatient waiting lists, telephone and video appointments, and notifications from cervical screening and bowel screening service.
Outpatient waiting lists: App users can now view their outpatient waiting lists where information such as the waiting list name, hospital, and date they were added are available. Once appointments are created, app users will be notified and can view their appointments in the app.
Telephone and video appointments: Outpatient appointments now include telephone and video appointments. Users can view appointment information and guidance on how to access the remote appointment.
Bowel screening and cervical screening: You will now receive a message in the app when you are eligible for bowel screening and cervical screening. This feature also includes further information about the screening process and appointment guidance.
Damien McCallion, CTTO, HSE, said: “One of the aims of the HSE App is to transform the health service experience for patients and staff and ensure patients and their clinicians have access to the health information they need to achieve the best outcomes. Using the app will help patients access the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
“We are seeing nearly 1,000 downloads of the HSE App every day now, and I would encourage everyone over 16 to check it out and add it to their home screen.”
