HSE South West Partners with Community Organisations to host Greencare workshop in Killarney

HSE South West, in partnership with Transition Kerry and Killarney Asylum Seekers Initiative (KASI) Community Garden, will host a free workshop in Killarney on 11 August from 10am to 1pm focused on promoting health and well‑being through nature‑based activities.

The session is open to HSE staff and those working in community and voluntary organisations, and will take place at the KASI community garden in Killarney. Participants will be introduced to the work of Transition Kerry and KASI, explore how Greencare can support personal and client well‑being, and learn how nature‑based venues such as community gardens can be used in everyday practice. The workshop will also outline practical actions that can enhance sustainability, resilience and confidence in Greencare prescribing across workplaces.
