HSE Mid West invites families and friends to annual Remembrance Service

University Hospital Limerick (UHL) and St John’s Hospital will hold their Annual Remembrance Service this Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 2pm in the Redemptorist Church, Mount Saint Alphonsus, Limerick (V94 F867).

The service provides an opportunity for families, friends and staff to remember loved ones who have died in UHL or St John’s Hospital. It will include prayer, music, and space for quiet reflection and support in an inclusive setting for people of all faiths, spiritual traditions and none.

Those attending are invited to bring a photograph or memento of their loved one for a special blessing. No RSVP is required and all are welcome.  For those unable to attend, the service will be streamed live at www.churchservices.tv/alphonsus

HSE Mid West and the Irish Hospice Foundation also run the national freephone Bereavement Support Line service, which offers connection, comfort and support on 1800 80 70 77, Monday to Friday, 10am to 1pm.
