Critical Care Information System Go‑Live at Cavan General Hospital
Third Site in the Dublin and North East Regional Multitenancy Rollout.

The Critical Care IT (CCiT) Programme is proud to announce that the Critical Care Information System (CCiS), is now live in Cavan General Hospital, marking the third go‑live on the Dublin and North East regional multitenancy environment. The application being rolled out is Intellispace Critical Care and Anaesthesia (ICCA), a Philips product, supplied by Cardiac Services. This milestone represents a major achievement for the region, demonstrating the impact of standardisation, collaboration, and accelerated delivery across critical care services.
The go‑live took place on 9th June 2026, following closely after the successful ICCA deployment in Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown on 20th April 2026. As the result of an intensive period of regional planning and collaboration, this implementation represents the most efficient deployment undertaken to date by the National Programme and the vendor. The success of this rollout reflects the combined efforts of local clinical and technical teams in Cavan General Hospital, supported by strategic leadership from the Dublin and North East regional implementation team.
ICCA Deployment in Cavan Strengthens Regional Critical Care Services.

The newly implemented ICCA system replaces paper‑based documentation in the critical care unit, transforming how clinical information is captured and used. The system supports clinical standardisation, improves data quality, enhances communication across multidisciplinary teams, and strengthens clinical decision‑making.

With three sites live in the Dublin and North East, the next steps for this region include optimising interfaces, expanding integration to include MedLIS, and progressing towards project close. The CCiT Programme is also shifting its focus to the next region, Dublin and South East, where preparations are underway to mobilise resources for the deployment of CCiS across four sites: Waterford, Wexford, South Tipperary, and Kilkenny.
