A warm welcome to our Technology and Transformation Interns

Technology and Transformation welcomes 22 interns supporting key digital health programmes and gaining hands‑on experience.

Technology and Transformation is delighted to welcome 22 new interns who have joined our teams this month.  All are third year college students completing a six-month work placement.

This year’s cohort represents a diverse range of colleges, including Dundalk Institute of Technology, National College of Ireland, TU Dublin, Atlantic Technological University and the University of Limerick.

Each intern has been placed within a priority programme aligned with the Digital for Care strategy within the Technology and Transformation Department.

Our interns are supporting programmes across Technology and Transformation, including CDAO Data Visualisation, Power Platform Centre of Excellence, Data Quality, Data Standards, Shared Care Records, Executive Support, MedLIS, Architecture and Service Design, A2i eVaccination and the National Ambulance Service.

During their time with us, interns will gain hands on experience of how digital solutions and modern technologies support and improve health and social care services. They will have the opportunity to learn about digital health systems, data and analytics, cybersecurity, project delivery and service transformation, while also developing practical skills in problem solving, collaboration and change management.
