The HSE is Ireland's public health service and is overseen by the HSE Board, which holds ultimate responsibility for the organisation. The CEO of the HSE, Bernard Gloster, reports to the Board and is responsible for implementing its decisions and managing the day-to-day operations.
A central HSE team, and the HSE's six Health Regions, are responsible for planning and managing our health services. They all report to the CEO.The HSE is overseen by the Department of Health, under Minister Stephen Donnelly TD.
The HSE Board reports to the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, as well as the Minister for Health.
