SJOG Lucena CAMHS, Bray 0.8FTE /Dun Laoghaire Team 1, 0.2FTE
Lucena CAMHS provides a comprehensive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service to defined catchment areas residing in South Dublin City and County plus North and West County Wicklow. An opportunity has arisen for a senior psychologist to join the Lucena CAMHS teams in Bray and Dun Laoghaire. The successful candidate will work within cohesive, committed consultant-led multidisciplinary teams, guided by a strong, evidence-based model of care. The successful candidate will also be part of a highly skilled and active psychology department.
Role Summary & Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate will be flexible, committed and possess:
§ A recognised post graduate qualification in Psychology and meet the PSI guidelines for employment as a senior psychologist in the Irish Health Services.
§ Evidence of eligibility for senior grade position*
§ Experience of working in CAMHS
§ Willingness to take a role in the cross team, cross discipline emotion regulation pathway, which uses DBT as a model of care.
§ Proven skill in standardised neurocognitive and psychological assessment with children and adolescents with mental health disorders.
§ Proven skill in delivering evidence-based psychological therapies to children and adolescents presenting with moderate- severe mental health disorders and emotion dysregulation.
§ Knowledge and expertise in assessment and support of co-occurring neurodivergence.
§ Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.
§ An ability to manage workload, perform under pressure and achieve deadlines.
§ An ability to undertake and complete projects in relation to innovation and improvement in service delivery.
§ Experience in professional and clinical supervision and teaching of junior colleagues.
§ A high capacity for responsibility, together with excellent organisational, interpersonal, time management and communication skills with an ability to supervise and prioritise the workload of supervisees.
