A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Psychologist, Principal Specialist -
IHA Dublin South & Wicklow from which current and future, permanent and specified
purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Post specific related information
- Extensive experience working in an inpatient acute unit.
- Extensive experience working in Community Mental Health Teams with severe and
enduring mental health difficulties.
- Ability to work flexibly with acute and severe and enduring mental heath needs- ability
to accommodate interventions to needs presented.
- Desirable – A specialist Interest in an area of Mental Health with proven experience in
same.
- Good organisational skills and ability to bring change management to an established
Psychology Service.
June 2025
- Desirable – Proven expertise in working with psychosis and training in evidence-based
interventions.
- Good team working and communication abilities to work with Principal Psychologist
Manager in developing psychology services within Mental Health as indicated
throughout this description.
- Desire to move forward integrated psychology services and to evaluate such services,
addressing KPI’S, resource capacity and work force utilisation through supervision,
audits and case management.
- Demonstrate depth and breadth of achievement in the development and delivery of
high quality, integrated, accountable and effective Psychology Services as relevant to
the role of Psychologist Principal Specialist.
- Demonstrate depth and breadth of skills and experience in the provision of psychology
services for adults including managing complexities pertaining to Psychology Service
delivery.
