The Lead Midwife in Parent Education will help develop, and lead out on a comprehensive, multidisciplinary package of evidence based antenatal and post-natal parent education which is equitable, inclusive, participative and responsive, and will meet the diverse needs of mothers and their partners attending St. Luke’s General Hospital. They will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (including Midwife Specialists) to ensure that the highest quality service can be delivered paying particular attention to class size, cultural sensitivities and groups with particular needs e.g. teenagers, members of ethnic minority communities, people who do not have English as their first language. They will participate in the development of educational multimedia resources, such as videos, and the St. Luke’s General Hospital eLearning hub.
