The Quality and Patient Safety Advisor will coordinate the implementation of quality and patient safety programmes to include:
• Risk Management
• Incidents and serious incidents
• Risk assessment and risk registers
• Quality Improvement Programmes
• Standards including oversight of Policies, Procedures and Guidelines
• Tracking the implementation of recommendations
• Monitoring the implementation of recommendations from local and national
investigations, reports, reviews and audits
• Facilitating and supporting the implementation of National Standards set by the
Health Information and Quality Authority
• Patient safety and service improvement
• Governance
• Complaints management
• Patient & Service User Involvement
• Support with Clinical Audit
The post holder will also be involved in the continuous development of quality healthcare delivery at University Hospital Kerry and serve on various hospital committees for that purpose.
