Post specific related information
(i) Registration as a Specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of
Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of Public Health Medicine.
And
(ii) One year documented postgraduate evidence of training and/or
satisfactory experience in the specific domain(s) of Public Health practice. Successful candidates for this role will be expected to have demonstrable experience and ability to:
● Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders locally and nationally to implement best practice in Public Health programmes, ideally in the area of Health Improvement, with a focus on aspects of health inequalities and/or adult health, and/or mental health.;
● Use health intelligence to plan and tailor the public health response, and to monitor and assess the evidence of effectiveness of interventions, programmes and services intended to improve the health of populations.
