The post will be based in Bray Civic Centre, Bray, County Wicklow. There will be a requirement to be available to attend MDT meetings in Junction House, Kilnamanagh Primary Care Centre, Tallaght Dublin 24./ Lárionad Cathrach, Bré, Co. Chill Mhantáin
The HSE provides a wide range of community based services for people with Intellectual Disabilities and co-existing conditions in various social circumstances within the Regional Health Area. These services are strategically evolving and developing within the Regional Health Area and the Clinical Nurse Specialist Positive Behaviour Support will have a pivotal role in the provision services within Dublin South & Wicklow. CNS will at times need to base themselves in the various parts of the service based on clinical need
There is currently one permanent fulltime (1 WTE) vacancy available in Eist (Evaluation & Intensive Support Team). Eist is multi-disciplinary team aligned to Southside Intellectual Disability Services and Adult Community Disability Services IHADSW.
A panel may be created from this campaign for Clinical Nurse Specialist (Intellectual Disabilities) Community Healthcare East from which current and future permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full time or part time duration may be filled.

- A thorough understanding of evidence-based interventions, health promotion, and advocacy within the context of intellectual disability services is required.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership, mentorship, supervision and support to the clinical team.
- Experience in service development, quality improvement and implementation of best practice guidelines
