Post specific related information
Demonstrate depth and breadth of experience in Intellectual Disability nursing as relevant to the role, particularly in relation to assessment of healthcare needs and the development of care/support plans to meet those needs. Demonstrate practitioner competence and professionalism appropriate to a CNM 1 role in disability services.
Demonstrate an awareness of current and emerging developments in residential services, housing policy and community support models relevant to disability services.
Demonstrate the ability to apply evidence-trauma informed social care practice to placement planning, review, risk management and service improvement.
Demonstrate knowledge or experience of Social Role Valorisation, supported self-directed living and rights-based approaches to disability support.
Demonstrate awareness of UNCRPD, person-centred planning, access and integration, and outcome-focused review processes.
