"The purpose of this post is to provide expert, patient-centred care for individuals with a range of cardiovascular conditions across inpatient and outpatient settings. The candidate ANP will work both autonomously and collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions.

- Use of digital tools and data to inform service improvement
A key component of the role will include supporting the delivery and ongoing development of a chest pain pathway, ensuring timely assessment, risk stratification, investigation, and management of patients presenting with chest pain. The ANPc will play a pivotal role in streamlining care, reducing unnecessary admissions, and improving patient flow through effective triage and evidence-based decision-making.
The development of a RANP service in Cardiology would seek to:
1.Provide safe quality care
2.Expedite diagnosis and correct treatment
3.Reduce inpatient admissions
4.Reduce waiting times
5.Improve patient experience
6.Reduce demand on the Cardiology team
7.Reduce referrals to Cardiology OPD services
